  1. I noticed that I can't always use the "swipe down" gesture to see weather/notifications now either. Let me try turning OFF rotate on lock screen for starters. Did you give up and uninstall SBRotator?
  2. My AppRadio 3 and parking bypass system is on order via Amazon. I should be able to start the install next week. In preparation for this I went ahead and installed SBRotater 6 (BigBoss official/paid) and AppRadio Extensions (via mikedecaro.com repo) ((which I'd gladly donate too once I'm an official user!)) iPhone 5, Firmware 6.1.2 Since installing these two new apps, It seems my iPhone 5 crashes every 1-4 hours and comes up in SafeMode now. (when I just let it sit) I woke up with it in Safemode for example. Since it's happened 4 times, I finally installed Crash Reporter &
  3. I'm finally ready to upgrade my clunky Kenwood DNX stereo that stopped accepting video input since Lightening replaced 30 pin. I've been limping by on audio only via iPhone 5 with a useless Kenwood screen. (app mode on kenwood means it just gives complete control to your iPhone and the screen is back, no fun) I thought the Clarion NX603 was going to be first out the gate with HDMI mirroring. http://www.clarion.com/us/en/products/2013/multimedia/navigation/NX603/us-en-product-pf_1259655181646.html The CES announcement was over 8 months ago! (and they've yet to release it) I wrote-off
  4. I don't have steering wheel controls on my SmartCar Brabus unfortunately. Having a Knob to control volume was a big deal for me before I got interested in AppRadio 3. This leads me to a related volume control question. (didn't want to start a whole new thread) How "easy" is it to control the volume on the AppRadio? Do the Volume Up/Down buttons have a good action/feel to them when pressed? (or cheap/mushy?) Are you satisfied with how they did it? I might miss having an easy control knob I can reach, feel, grab, control blind. Is everyone satisfied with the volume up/
  5. I don't have my AppRadio yet, but thought I'd at least try to cover the basics. Page 1 here says that there is an older AppsRadio extension in the default BigBoss repository list that shows up in Cydia. We're supposed to manually add Cydia Repository: http://mikedecaro.com/repo/ (Beta 17 will show as 2.0.1-450 in Cydia) A reboot is now required after installing! Anything I've ever installed from Cydia that requires other dependencies automatically installs them at the time I install the main app. I've never heard of something being installed that requires a dependency and it not
  6. Thanks by "best" I meant best bang for the buck yes (China) lol Ok good to know, so you've officially confirmed it works great! The seller needs to clarify his description of: Support Data Sync and charging only! Video & Audio are not supported! I think he is obviously confusing 30 pin Analog audio/video out. (lightening is digital only) Good Good, I'll order the black one you just pointed out as well. It's not as chunky as that other one I talked about.
  7. ok which is the best one?, the last ebay one I posted about above has one complaint I found here: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=17749716&posted=1#post17749716 They said the lightening connector is short/stumpy and comes out very easily. Is there a better one? (prefer Black)
  8. hmmm still searching and came across a possibility. What about this one?: http://www.ebay.com/itm/281088760380 The description and Q&A at the bottom even says it works with Lightening HDMI adapters. (and Lightening-VGA adapters) Might be worth a shot, I'd like to hear someone else's success story though. Q: Does this item support video transfer? I need something that will hook up to a VGA adapter Jun-13-13 A: Hi thank you for your interest in our item. Yes it can do video transfer, but it is a lightning male to lightning female, you need to use your own VGA or HDM
  9. I was trying to research on if we can use a Lightening Extension cable to hide the HDMI adapter. (less bulk) I ran across this page: http://www.appradioworld.com/2013/08/wanted-digital-av-adapter-cable.html As you can see the guy put out an open letter to all and even hacked apart a cable to check it out. There is mixed reviews in the comments at the bottom. I also found this thread when I searched here. http://avic411.com/index.php?/topic/37082-usb-extension-any-brand-work/ The OP asked about USB extensions but VBLUE42 chimed in about Lightening extensions http://avic411.c
  10. If there is a choice, I'd rather have a full featured AVH/AVIC that included App Mode instead of just AppRadio. If I lost my phone, I'd still like to know I can fire up the built in Navigation etc. I also want HD Radio (not required but nice to have once in awhile) I'm just getting started with my research and leaning towards the AppRadio 3 (and sacrificing HD Radio) I'm pretty sure the multi touch capacitive screen only works with AppRadio. I also have a jailbreak iPhone 5 so want the extensions to be as compatible as possible with what the dev uses. The AVH-X5500BHS re
  11. While your setup doesn't apply to me so far it still gave me some insight on what to expect. I'm thinking of buying the AppRadio 3 and have a jailbroken iPhone 5. I don't want a second iPod device (let alone tether something else) being part of my car experience. It sounds like I should expect the UI to be laggy un-smooth when using the iPhone 5 alone. ? (bummer) I just discovered this forum recently so still coming up to speed. So far......... It found I need to buy the parking break bypass. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008NQL00W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&am
  12. I'm thinking of buying the AppRadio 3. I'm really impressed with the JailBreak add-on work here and I just happen to have a Jailbroken iPhone 5 ready to play. This is as good as it gets. I'll miss having HD Radio but don't use it as much as I used to anyway. (can live without it) I have a question about using more than one HDMI input HDMI input idea I've been researching DashCam DVR's and many have no built in screen but have mini HDMI outputs. http://forum.dashcamtalk.com/ (still researching to find the best one) Say I wanted to view this HDMI signal on my AppRadio. I'
  13. I'm thinking of getting the AppRadio 3. Looks like this should do the trick. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008NQL00W/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_mpTdsb0JVZY17FGR (correct?best option?) I see one glowing review saying it worked great on the AR3. The title even says "Better then PAC TR7"
