well hold on, if the d3/cable are fine, you might want to troubleshoot ipod. the ipods you tried that worked, where they new ones?

yeah, theres an image just for bluetooth also, but it would 'help' a little bit. worth the try, the bluetooth image running around also changes the bypass for a z1

i would agree, but the cake would be on his face if it turned out to be a version difference thing with the ipod instead. so starting in the begining to troubleshoot is best

CLASSIC!!! I dont know how many times ive done something expecting it to be a certain way but when you take the time to check it you find something else.

id say if it worked before then either something came up with the adapter, be it internally or installation wise. or ipod related.. maybe firmware update? id try a new latest gen ipod see if it works or not, if it does then your ipod is to blame, if it doesnt then id see about getting best buy to replace the adapter. hope this helps

well, if you want to view camera ONLY when in reverse, you could use the reverse wire .. which is in the rear.... lol. Otherwise for use while driving in split screen mode or alternate input run a wire and even put a switch on it, you dont need to energize camera all the time the vehicle is on, i would think anyways.

fyi, i never had to use the dummy file, have you tried without?

yep, what he said, also, some sucesses with mic positioning in accordance with speaker configuration. Myself, if on the freeway in my subaru the road noise made it just impossible to even consider using. So take road noise into consideration too

well, theres a tutorial on how to do the bypass just check around. as for the connection to parking break, you can simply remove it from your vehicle wiring. of course if you cut the vehicle side of the wire you will cause problems. so, just disconnect the wire the installer put in for the d3 and follow the tutorial on how to do the bypass. enjoy

searching JUST rds yeilds many results, but the 8th and 11th are rather clear AGAIN. rds is one of the most asked about features here. shoot id of expected the buyer of a product to have looked at the side of the box or manual as well. far before posting here. no offense but it would have been better to search before the half dozen or so posts in this thread .. including mine were posted.
