  1. thanks. ye i went ahead and did that. i couldnt get it to accept the 80mt disc but the 90mt works a lot better now. i guess it was just a failed upgrade that needed to be redone. -nick
  2. for me, this is the worst update since i got the avic-d2 (few yrs ago when 60mt was the newest). i've lost ALL voice navigation, if i go the wrong way it takes forever to reroute or doesn't do so at all, and it doesnt bring up the "close up view" for near/upcoming turns. this thing is awful for me, and i put it on the same media as my 80mt disc. i see that some of you have had success but that was not the case for me and i would not advise anyone who hasnt gotten this disc to pursue it.
  3. how do i downgrade my avic-d2? i tried the new 90mt disc and it absolutely fucking sucks. someone posted a method where you change to a random language, then change back to english but pull out the disc before it finishes and that will allow me to pop in 80mt (which is defnitely better) can someone confirm this method or inform me of one that works. i dont want to mess up my unit. my 90mt disc is slow as shit for rerouting (burned on the same media as my 80mt), no voice directing, and does pull up the little turn picture when i get close to an intersection on where i need to turn. (for
  4. Since you're too stupid to look at the thread's subject line or the words in the actual post, I took the liberty to highlight some clues for you. Hopefully you can figure it out from there.

I suggest HkSFV 2.01 to check'em. It's freeware. Enjoy.
  6. I've never heard of anyone having this issue but when I initially bought my D2, it came with the CNDV-60M discs and I've been updating yearly from the discs put out by Pioneer. I'm not sure if 60M is the first set of dvd's but if thats the case... then you can by mine that I coincidentally put up on eBay. I'm not necessarily trying to force you to buy them but if you are convinced this will solve your problem then go for it but I'm pretty sure that using the CNDV-80MT discs without any prior versions should work fine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0380546255 If you want a
  7. I'll do it for $10 shipped. I think that's very fair. If you're interested then reply back. Here's my eBay feedback page to show that I'm not some random scam artist. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.d ... llFeedback
  8. ye. it was the second option in line ("random") but thank you for showin me where to look. i appreciate it. -nick
  9. for some reason, i don't think this was always the case, but my D2 shuffles the music on my CDs. how do i turn that off so that the tracks or folders play in the order they have been burned? i've searched all the settings and couldn't find anything. thanks to anyone that can help.
  10. i don't need'em but nice job on the share.
  11. i don't feel like reading 24 pages. can someone just give me a YES or NO answer to the following... is there a link to this disc in this thread anymore? the reason i ask is because i can still download this from newsgroups and would be willing to post this on an FTP server i have. it would take me quite some time but im willing to help out.
  12. ye i didnt read the entire line. i was skimming through the whole thing. good catch. i wasnt gonna buy from this guy without refs or previous buyers.
  13. can anyone vouch for this guy? these prices are WAY TOO GOOD to be true. and the fact that it's in another country is what is skeptical. not to mention the grammar in that post was pretty bad.
  14. yo man, if i were you... i would RAR up the ISO files cause i downloaded the east off of newsgroups and it was like 3.5gb but unpacked to the full size. nice post either way tho. very much appreciated
  15. lookin good buddy. almost looks OEM
  16. 1. yes he is bsing you big time 2. if you need an installer i can hook you up with a guy. its not a shop. this guy rents out a small garage where he does his award-winning work. he has some trophies and shit. thats how i knew he was legit. he only charged me 200 for labor and parts on my d2 install. he can even fabricate some parts on his own. (for ex. he fabricated the harness for me since GM wanted like $80 for one that was on backorder). point is, i highly recommend this guy and if you want him i could give you the number to setup an appointment. he's located in the sheepshead bay area of
  17. i would love to see two pics... 1. woodsman's two head-unit dash (this one more than the second one) 2. the $12,000 sound system someone mention
  18. (im saying this since it appears no-one can help you out). your best bet may be to purchase one in your country, open it up, find someone to burn the discs if you dont have a burner, and then return the whole thing
  19. thanks. i dont see myself leaving the city anyways
  20. I'm not going to delete this thread since someone else may end up with the same problem. To those reading in the end installer either: 1. Didn't hook up parking brake wire from d2 to the parking brake wire in the vehicle. 2. Tried to bypass the system, but had a bad connection.
