I just finished updating my avid z140bh firmware to 4.6. The vga adapter (apple) is connected to both the vga cable and the lightning/usb cable. My iPhone 5 is connected via lightning connector to the vga adapter. When I try to view videos or use app radio apps like waze and carbrowser app the appradio screen on the z140bh is black but I can hear audio via car speakers. Bluetooth is working fine as well. The setting on the z10bh are as follows. App connection: iPhone, iPod connection settings: vga Can someone help me get video and appradio apps to display correctly? -
I was thinking of getting this android kit for appradio mode for my nexus 5. But Nexus 5 isnt comptabible with MHL. Anyone think it would work if i replaced the MHL adapter with the Slim Port and still use the rest of the kit.

Hi, Just purchased a Pioneer Appradio 2, installing it next week. I am planning on using an iPhone 4 for my ipod and hope to use one of the navigation apps too. Will I be able to listen to music on the ipod whilt using the app mode for my navigation? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. -
Ok, I have read so much on this forum my Head is spinning. I want to know what Radio comes most recommended from you guys. I want to mirror my jailbroken iPhone 5s,so that I can operate the phone from the unit.( i realize that Mike Decaro still has some work to do and I will donate some cash to his cause for sure) I want to be able to hook the unit up to a rear seat entertainment system. I would like to be able to play a dvd in the unit itself. I would like to be able to hook up an after marked subwoofer also. Thanks for all your input. -
Its not available... YET, but hold the fort! I sent an email to their support team to ask if I was missing something in the setup and surprisingly got an email back the same day! They explained that Heads-Up is not available right now, but if they get enough interest it'll be put on a list of user-requested improvements. As a long-time boater who has used a variety of GPS units, Radars, and Loran... I got very used to Heads-Up directions on the screen. Thanks to carver's great post, we can now change the AppRadio's main wallpaper. I originally posted my first attempt at creating custom wallpaper in caver's thread, but decided to create this new thread dedicated to custom wallpapers. I've attached 4 files. The first two are the default AppRadiowallpapers. They are in .bmp format. I used those files as templates to create my custom wallpapers. You will need to create/edit the wallpapers with some sort of photo editing software and save them as 24-bit bmp files using the exact same dimensions and filenames as the original wallpaper files (N

Whenever I started my car, my AppRadio started. When I got prompted with the safety message, a pop-up appeared with the title "Fatal Application Error". Has this happened to anyone and what should I do? Thanks for any help in advance! -

Hi all! New to the forum and to appradio so if i ask a silly question, please just remember i am behind the times lol. So got the Appradio 2 and installed it y-day.. The unit looks fantastic but a few issues have came my way. First off i know there is a bypass for the parking break ie switch or relay but i just hooked it to the break for now. My ipod classic works fine for music but the video option is faded on the radio and will not let me access it no matter how many times i put on the break. i have the videos in the "movies" folder on my ipod. I haven't bothered trying a usb flash as

Hey folks, So i was just reading that with the 8.30 update I did when it was first released should have removed Pandora from the main screen? Now did i read this wrong? I have seen multiple videos of people with AR2 and Pandora is NOT there.. Was wondering what was up? I have never used Pandora due to it not being available here in the Great White North(Canada) Thanks!

So, I have a question. I had purchased an HTC ONE, and was wondering how does the audio get to the AppRadio deck? Is it through Bluetooth, or is it through the HDMI cable? I mean music audio not call audio.

I did a short search and couldn't find anything so I was wondering if the garmin GPS apps will work with the Appradio at all? I know the new Kenwood HUs support this feature as long as you buy the "Vehilce Display Integration" app upgrade but I don't want to spend the $100 total to find out...

So, I just bought an HTC ONE, a little bit of an upgrade from my iPhone 4s. I was wondering what people are using for their setup. Has anyone come across a LONG MHL Adapter? or are we just using short ones with two cables coming out of our dash? Any comment will help! Thanks!

hello, ive got the original AppRadio, it's a little over a year old. in september it died and best buy had it sent out to pioneer for a replacement motherboard. i had come to terms with it not working w/ iphone 5, and figured id at least enjoy it as a glorified radio and ipod head unit. new problem -- it's now stuck on the screensaver animation, and will never show the proper UI, rendering it completely inoperable. oddly, this was a gradual thing -- it would only be "stuck" on the screensaver once in a while, then more & more frequently until finally every time i start the car it -
Hi so I'm looking to buy an AppRadio over the summer, preferably when the new AppRadio 3 comes out. I currently have an iPhone 4s but I am getting a new phone in October/November, and i am not entirely sure if I am getting another iPhone (5s or whatever comes out over the summer), or an Android (most likely Samsung GS4). I understand that for apps to work with the AppRadio I need the right cables, and since I will change phones in a few months, I will need to switch cables. Now that brings me to other questions... X950BH, Iphone5, Hdmi, Digital AV, Lightning. app icon is illuminated, when i press on screen. my current iphone screen shows up on the unit, with a prompt saying "if app radio isn't installed, please install it, then open bluetooth settings" "connect" "settings" "cancel" if i press connect the prompt goes away and just shows the current iphone screen. settings brings me to bluetooth settings, and cancel the prompt goes away and just shows the current iphone screen. if i run the appradio app before, or after it just shows whats on the iphone screen, The appradio launcher

Had the Appradio for almost a month now and was just wondering what apps or what functions do you guys commonly use? The 3 apps that have been in heavy use in my car are MYPV, WAZE and EC TOUCH. But honestly my favorite is MYPV, its so cool how I can setup a youtube music video playlist on my phone and access them on the appradio. The playlist will sync to the radio and allow u to play videos back to back like a mix. You can setup multiple playlists and the videos start to play right away as if they were stored on the device, no buffering crap. Its awesome!!! Waze is great because its a nav ap

Hey guys so Ive been posting a bit now that I finally own an Appradio 2 and i just need to let everyone know that I love it. Coupled with a Smartphone this thing can do just about anything. I think pioneer has taken car radio's to a whole new level and I can guarantee you that other manufacturers are taking notes and will soon follow. Its way far from a traditional HU and this thing has tons of potential. I am a Technical Analyst for Dell so to have a HU that can do mostly everything that I need is a blessing and a must!! Yes it has its glitches but I am willing to look past that and have fait

Hi all! I bought an appradio 2 in the USA recently and had it installed in my car in The Netherlands. The unit works great (except of course for some minor tweaks). However, the European FM frequencies differ from the US frequencies. I wonder if there is a possibility to address this problem by installing "European" Pioneer software or firmware. If this is not possible, I can try to create a "workaround" by using internet radio... Greetings, Martijn

Hello all, sorry for the noob question but ive been looking for this everywhere and cant seem to find a good answer. I have the Appradio 2 and the 8.30 update. I am using it primarily for my iphone 5 connected with the CD-IH202, hdmi, AV and lightning cables as instructed. My question is, can i still use my old 30 pin devices(iphone 4, ipod touch, etc) using only the 30 pin usb cable connected thru the CD-IH202? Or do I need to use the 30 pin AV that i have lying around and connect with hdmi? I want to use my 30 pin devices with the CD-IH202 already installed, or do i need to pull apart the ra -
Just installed the x950bh. I have a galaxy s3 phone and I first tried to connect to the unit via bluetooth with pandora - I can stream pandora but cannot control pandora from the head unit. All other bluetooth functionality works with the unit just fine but I want to be able to control pandora from the headunit. I then decided to try the mhl route and got an MHL connector. I was able to connect to the unit and both the Pandora and Aha radio apps show up on the head unit - however, appradio is continuously connecting and disconnecting (without me touching anything) and it is driving me craz

Hello all, I have read about nine forums and am only looking for an answer to wether the appradio extensions will allow my iphone 5 to appear on my x930bt upgraded to x940bt software. I know i might need the lightening to vga and the pionneers vga to the deck adapters. Before I buy all that junk does anyone know wether this even works? Thanks for your time Joe

I need some help I bought the sph-da02 and I just need to know do I hook the wires up by color and how do I hook up the backup camra. So far from what I understand the speaker colors go by same color. but it has a factory 8" subwoofer and the manual says bypass the green wires???. green with white is a brake wire and I am gonna bypass that with a 2 way switch run to one side of switch and ground the other and I can use ground wire from stereo to do that?. what does the blue/white stripe p.cont hook up to? and the pink reverse what do I hook it up to the reverse lights?
