HiFiSi
It connects via the ip-bus and av-bus ports on the hide-a-way module, not the actual in-dash changer itself.
blackbox
ok, lemme rephrase... no mean for disrespect if taken by my wording HiFi. there are no ip bus or av ports on the d3, do i just plug in the rca's going into the d3? thank you!
cntrylvr79
short answer no it doesn't. It may work in standalone mode, but that I'm not positive of. THere is an ipbus port on the back of the d3 though. There's no AV-bus port.

FourDoor
So did you get the DVD changer to work by just using it in stand alone mode?
blackbox
i have the d3 connected with the pioneer dvd changer. i'm running the dvd changer connected to the pioneer bluetooth thr the ip bus to get the sound. as for the visual, im running a rca from the back of the d3 to the pioneer dvd changer's hideaway box. no problems!! j0xx
why doesnt the D3 have av bus?
HiFiSi
Why doesn't it have RDS? Why doesn't it have a hard drive? Why doesn't it have dual zone capability? You've gotta scrap some features to make the unit as inexpensive as it is.
regrossman
Will the XDV-P9 functions without the AV-Bus connected? I have a an XDV-P90 that I need to connect to m AVIC-D3 (replacing a broken AVIC-D1). I don't care about video, I was just planning on using it for audio. I'm hoping with just the IPBus connected, it will be controlled by the D3 and play sound.
blackbox
you will have sound with the ip bus connected with no problems.
RANDY350Z
If you connect the ip bus to the p9 and video to the rca can it be controlled by the D3? or if the xdv-p6 is connected thru ip bus and video input, doe the d3 control it also?
blackbox619
ive always used the remote, you can only control which disc to play thru the touch screen only. the other options like fast forward, pause, rewind, etc wont work thru the touchscreen.
RANDY350Z
Ok, do you select MD-changer on the icon screen or AV1 / AV2. or if you select MD -0changer will it switch and "Play" that disc. I am asking because I will be installing so I am tryinf to narrow everything down. Thanks!
