laurido92
I'm trying to locate the VSS wire on my 97 Toyota Land Cruiser. I was reading about the 99 Land Cruiser but I don't have a 28 pin. I have a 26 pin on the ECM. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I also looked on the application, but my model is not listed. bnluigi
Blue/White VSS look at the ecm for a 22 pin plug you will find a blue/white wire in pin 8 next to a black/white pin 7 and a black/blue pin 9. you can also find that wire behind the instrument cluster
laurido92
Thank you very much. I've been looking all over the internet and came up empty. How do I know that is working right?? Thanks.
osephj20
well you can use a multimeter to test the vss wire...but its challenging for someone who is not a "professional." if your MPH on your "vehicle dynamics" screen works you'll know, plus you'll know from how accurate (fast or slow) your avic gps tells you your traveling. laurido92
I went to the 3D diagnostics screen and it shows numbers going up and down, so I take it that is working. The Nav still seems to be off by abou 100ft. I'm going to wait until the testing phase is complete and see if it adjusts by itself. Thanks for all the help. I really appreciate it. Loving the AVIC-D3. Glad I got it.
