GT17V
with most of the time, there is a difference in the VSS speed vs. GPS speed, with VSS being slower. How does the D3 system take that into account? so.. is VSS really necessary? Does it help on situations where you would lose a signal, ie. tunnel crossings?
whtcrxghst
Absolutely. It also lets the nav 3D hybrid calibrate so it is more accurate overall Does it help on situations where you would lose a signal, ie. tunnel crossings?
HiFiSi
It's not absolutely necessary... but it does help keep the GPS more accurate, which is always good. It also helps the nav system keep track of where you are if you drive through an area with poor or no satellite coverage, like a tunnel or through the woods. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=14496&highlight=vss+necessary http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12137&highlight=vss+necessary http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=7599&highlight=vss+necessary http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5668&highlight=vss+necessary http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2418&highlight=vss+necessary
