bigbaddog
Is the speed signal input wire required? Will it function properly without it. I have never understood why this is needed. The thing is GPS! It should know my location, aprox speed without speed signal input.
oldpapa49
I have no idea if this the result of no vss hookup.. I have the AVIC-Z2 with Z3 HD from a user here garrettoomey (Thanks again for the great HD and service) I think without the wire, the accuracy of the navigation is hindered because I have passed a street when the map has me approaching it. So, I have got the info, where to hook the wire and will see tomorrow Also slope does not work at all.. So me thinks its an issue. I do not know if I rehook if I will loose my modded system (hacked) or not. Maybe someone will post it before I rip the unit out of the car and trace for the connector Old

garrettoomey
Hooking up the VSS will not effect your bypass hack in any way.

bigbaddog
I took the plunge and did not hood it up. At times it is inacurate, however it does correct itself quite often. I believe it to be a very minor thing. I would not recommend hooking up the wire if you have to do a lot of digging to get to it, like me. Thanks to all for your input
