seventhreewun
Hey guys, i read a post about how to get HDTV in your car on the z3. http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15157 This post requires you to buy an hdtv tuner and antenna. Do you guys know whether or not i need anything else like an adapter or what not. Right now i only have my z3 unit with no extras.
smarsh
no matter what adapter you get, you would not get HD (720/1080)
brdnboy
no matter what adapter you get, you would not get HD (720/1080) or anything better than 480i, so it is pointless. Might as well get a regular old tv tuner and skip the bulky converter that does nothing.

mateojimmy
Pioneer used to have a TV antenna for the avic, however it was analog. You could probably still find one on e-bay, but it won't work after next year. If you can look for a digital tuner that runs off 12v and outputs a RCA (yellow, red, white) you should have no problems.
seventhreewun
any idea wea i need to find the exact tuner?
Snake
I dont think Pioneer has anything ready for the avics with HDTV support. The other thread about HDTV in avics was referring to a modified over the air D/A box that you can easily find and install yourself.
