artaq_00
As of right now Apple is the only company that makes a audio/video cable that will work with the ipod classics. The downfall with this cable is that it will not charge the ipod but if you already have the CD-I200 then you can still charge it from there. Peripheral though is working on a part that will work for these new ipods.

ldkud50
Incorrect the classic can work with cd-i200 cable as long as you have firmware version 1.02 installed on your ipod you are golden. audio/video will work flawlessly.
artaq_00
Yea I guess your right but would you want to put a lower version on your ipod?
ldkud50
makes no difference stays in my glove box 24/7 never had any problems
artaq_00
There is no way that the new ipod classic 80g and 160g works with the i200 cable playing movies.
hoyter
the downgrade worked for me.
Noisrevid
Anybody know where I can download the older version that allows video playback to work? I was wondering why I was once able to watch video on the D3 but then it stopped.. looked at my firmware and noticed I did upgrade it.
corey
I've also read that if you use a dock inline with the CD-I200, you can view videos. The problem is the authentication wire that the new update is looking for. The CD-I200 doesn't have it, but the dock does.
Chris_1818
just restore your ipod to your "factory settings"
