jml2008
To me this would be the best hack for this avic hu. I hate seeing that startup screen and having to press OK while I'm driving, it's more hazardous than the message itself.
BorisM
If he knows how to hack executables in ARM assembler, he should be able to do it.
shafty023
I'm new to the Pioneer F series but definitely not new to disassembling or programming. What's a quick run-down of getting my unit into test mode so that I can pull the files and start hacking. I assume I'll need to use my SD card for this.

BorisM
After you got there, interesting files would be ezrider.exe in APL2/igo directory (that's the main iGO executable) and MainMenu.exe and AV.exe in the /APL directory

They are not all of the files that I will find on the unit itself once I boot into test mode? Once in test mode, will I be able to copy all of the files onto my SD card or onto a USB drive or both? Thanks guys/girls
BorisM
That's right. Testmode files allow the unit to boot straight to WinCE desktop without launching the AVIC shell. Â Once in Windows, close the Copying messagebox, launch Windows Explorer from Start button, and you have access to AVIC's file structure. Â My Flash Disk\APLxxx directories are where main executables are. Â If you have a laptop, I ewas told that you can connected it to AVIC's USB cable, switch AVIC to USB Client mode (Control Panel\USB CLient Switch) and copy files ditrectly to your computer. Otherwise, use Explorer on the AVIC to copy files to SD Card or a USB drive.
diegoapavi
Has anybody been able to solve this? I hate that warning screen.
deathbyc4
within visual studio, how can i convert the hex to text for the main.res file? It's been a while. Â edit: nevermind i got it.
jbg
are you guys trying to remove it completely? I'm fine with just an auto accept solution like my other oem navigations, rather than having to push ok all the time.
S4
On my CarPC I used to have a autoit script that would click on all the warnings plus had it zoom the map, switch the view and few other things. Is there an app for WinCE that can accomplish the same?
deathbyc4
that would take more time to do than find the script that implements the message.
joegr
that would take more time to do than find the script that implements the message. I don't know about that. Auto-accept might be a more practical solution. I don't think the warning is part of any script. I think it's compiled directly into an EXE.
