  1. Did you read that he has no experience and 90% of his questions are avic related? how is a scion forum gonna help him more than an avic forum other than how to disassemble the dash? Yes, and they have covered just about every install including wiring lights^^
  2. it's the blackberry, mine would disable bluetooth randomly. eventually after enough times changing it, it will connect and stay connected as long as my 700 is on. i think it depends on if u connect the pioneer to the blackberry first or blackberry to the pioneer, i forgot the order that worked for me.
  3. don't search much do ya?? trying searching for related stuff first. All those topics have been covered and/or in progress.
  4. A much better way would get a ground loop isolator with capacitors inside, that way the unit will stay on for a few seconds while cranking and wont cause a voltage spike to the unit.
  5. that would take more time to do than find the script that implements the message.
  6. First off, you should be posting at www.Scionlife.com, they can give you step by step instructions for the xB if you use the search button. I own a tC and did this radio install in 1 hour, yours should be about that fast or a bit longer based on skill. Did I mention I have a degree in electronics?
  7. within visual studio, how can i convert the hex to text for the main.res file? It's been a while. edit: nevermind i got it.
  8. I'm pretty sure the main logic behind the message is in the general.ui file. Worst case scenario I would have to reloard the data.zip. I'm working on bypassing it but wouldn't mind some help
  9. in any event you're going to have to use the laptop keyboard or some sort of "Jerry" rigged keyboard/mouse to control the laptop. You should be able to view the laptop output, but i think you have to have a convertor box to go from composite to rca. if you have an s-video plug then u could go from that to rca, it is basically the same signal.
  10. you could try one of the good quality ground loop isolators that have capacitors in them that should give you enough juice to keep it running while cranking. also MAKE SURE you use a relay off the dome light and not directly connected.
