sonekw
I've had my Z3 for awhile now, about 6 months and so far I have been using it in standard mode (ie having to pull e-brake to use all functions). That was until yesterday, when I finally had enough and decided to try the motion hack so highly recommended in these forums and found on this site: http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass I followed the directions to the letter, and sure the hack works fine to unlock extra functions during movement, but now I can't use my rear-view camera! I can't figure out what's wrong...I undid everything that I changed, and it still won't work. All the connections are fine as far as I can tell into/out of the Z3, and I'm using the ND-BC2 camera so there aren't any compatibility issues. Has this happened to anybody else and are there any suggestions on how to fix the problem? I really don't want to have to take my car back to the installer to have them troubleshoot it... bur1196
Are you sure that the Z3 camera's input is enabled in the settings menu?
Julius
If you used T-taps I'm sure one of the connections are not making contact.
Hyperite
Are you sure that the Z3 camera's input is enabled in the settings menu? bingo, when you pressed the reset button, it erased the setting. just go back in and enable it.

Ok thanks for the input. I'm gonna go try it right now. Geez I feel like an idiot for missing such a simple software glitch like that
zadogg
Is the 2 wires the only thing that need to be done in order to bypass the system to allow video during movement?

zadogg
to clarify no software is needed for the z3 in order to bypass? is there a more clear image of the wiring instructions than whats given on the http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass site?
