kg_jettaIV Posted September 5, 2008 Report Share Posted September 5, 2008 I'm installing my F700 tomorrow and just wanted to know if the reverse wire is necessary or not. I'm not hooking up a reverse camera and if I do down the road I can always connect it in then. The biggest question I have is whether the reverse wire has anything to do with navigation or if it only is used to turn on the rearview camera. Thanks. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

djhuab Posted September 5, 2008 Report Share Posted September 5, 2008 i didnt have mine hooked up for about a month and when i parked in the garage it would always go forward when i was in reverse and take about a minute to get back on track. this was always a headache when setting a route at home. it only takes a minute to hook up so why not just do it.
