elmdor
Hey... So I decided to get adventurous and attempt the bypass for my 700. I hooked everything up and turned the unit on and the GPS wasn't working so I thought I screwed up the bypass and unhooked the AV connector off the back (never used it before the attempted bypass) and rehooked the light green parking brake wire up. Fired up the 700 again and the GPS still isn't working, I got to the settings (after pressing in the parking brake, so that isn't the problem) and I'm not getting satellite signal. I'm not sure what could have happened, is it possible I hooked the bypass up wrong and screwed something up in the unit for the GPS? I don't think the connector or wire are screwed up or kinked, any ideas?
HiFiSi
If you're not getting satellite signal, your antenna isn't connected properly or isn't working. The bypass will not effect your satellite signal.
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Sometimes the unit will start up without a signal and it's jus a coincidence that it happened after you bypassed the unit. take the car on the highway for a bit and let it get a signal back, but like HiFiSi said, the bypass has nothing to do with your bypass. and make sure your gps wire is fully secured in the slot. elmdor
I drove around 15 minutes or so getting more and more frustrated but finally it connected! Before I left I hooked up the bypass again so all is well now... if only the other problems were fixed!
