DJSonik Posted September 28, 2008 Report Share Posted September 28, 2008 I just bought the F900BT and there is no pink wire on the harness and no VSS wire labeled. does this unit not need one or do i have the wrong harness? the nav picks up ok because of the gyro but i want to know if i need to hook the pink up. any info would help. nvrmore100 Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 It is very unlikely the harness you purchased (or the factory one) will include a wire labeled as "VSS". You will have to do some research to determine what wire will provide this for your specific vehicle. I have been an installer for 20 years and every car navigation with the exception of newer ones that use the gyro has a tagged VSS wire in the harness. year make and model has nothing to do with my question, I know the 900 manual says its there but my harness does not have it so thats why i am asking. if you don't know anything about electronics and you clearly do not, Don't answer questions that are related...
