marmski
Hi Guys, I have a 2006 STi which i installed this unit into at the weekend, however ever since i took my old radio out the radio signal is really really poor (it cant even find the BBC national radio stations!) It can find a local radio station (of the 3 we have) and sometimes 2 of the 3.. if i manually program the radio it can find BBC Radio 1, but the strength is poor so it wont automatically find it. What is up here? my other headunit from Alpine was awesome with this... but this Pioneer just cant get them meaning im missing out on the traffic reports etc.. Can anyone help with some suggestions because i have checked the connection and the radio signal cable is plugged in correctly.
HiFiSi
Hook up the blue antenna wire on the back of the radio. Your car has an antenna power wire somewhere.
marmski
Im probably going to sound stupid asking this... What do i hook it upto? Just a power supply? Or is their a wire on my radion loom which i need to plug it into? (I thought it would probably be something stupid like a wire not right or something)
HiFiSi
There should be a wire on your car's radio harness that goes to a factory antenna amplifier. If you used an aftermarket radio adapter harness it should have a blue wire labeled antenna that it connects to.
