finchx1
i just bought a car with the d3 and i wanted to put my system in it....well i got the wires through the whole car and i cant figure out how to connect the amp to the d3. i think i need some kind of adapter but i have no idea. thanks for any help
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Don't you have the A/V wires? IIRC, the D3 should have all the RCA outputs needed to hook your system up. and the blue/white wire is your remote turn on lead.
finchx1
it has rcas but the cables i put in my old car looked like this....
ryan420
on the back of ur d3 you should have a rca harness and in that harness is a blue and white wire to turn you amp on..if u bought it used you may not of received that harness
CatchMeIfYouCan631
You should have this harness: Since you have only one pair of RCA's I'm going to assume system=subwoofer in the back. connect those RCA's to the Subwoofer Outputs from the unit, and connect the other side to the RCA In on the amp. Remote wire goes to the blue and white wire, and you know the rest.
finchx1
oh my goodness i didnt even attempt to look at those cables ok sweet thanks guys!
finchx1
one last thing. is it ok if i use those cables i posted in the picture?
CatchMeIfYouCan631
Yes those are the cables that give your amp the sound. Your sub won't play without those.
HiFiSi
I'm guessing the previous owner did not have the AV harness installed. You will need a new AV wiring harness if you want to hook up an amplifier. LINK

CatchMeIfYouCan631
on your amp by the power and ground there will be a spot labled remote wire, run a wire from the blue/white wire to that terminal.
ryan420
on the same harness as the rca's there is a blue and white wire hook it up to that (remote turn on)
