fiction520 Posted November 4, 2008 Report Share Posted November 4, 2008 My bluetooth works flawlessly and sounds great, I edited my contacts list so VR works flawlessly with my iPhone3g, since changing from the pioneer video cable to the Apple one I haven't had a single drop-out, and my nav is great with the cancel route button hack. Hopes of a boot up that saves me a few seconds and marginally better button response doesn't sound like enough for me to chance messing up how great this unit has become to me. Who's with me? cranbers Posted November 4, 2008 Report Share Posted November 4, 2008 The apple composite cable works perfect with the f series. I also used it with the iphone 3g and there is no issues. In fact I was having issues with the iphone 3g charging with the f series ipod cable. But with the apple one it charges as well. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Several people have had bad luck with the pioneer one and it's not even considered generic. I would most definitely recommend against generic china made garbage.
