Do not buy from electronicexperts on ebay!!!

Recommended Posts

i purchased from hifiaudionline on saturday. did buy it now on ebay for 2 f900bt's. applied 10% ebay coupon and 30% cashback. they got in touch with me shortly after i paid and asked if i wanted 2 or 4 units. they had gotten two identical payments from paypal. i told them i only wanted the 2. they said they cancelled the extra payment and that all was cool. contacted them yesterday to get tracking info. shipment didn't go out cuz the payment they cancelled was apparently the one and only payment and now it was gone along with my 10% and 30% cashback discounts. if they had gotten in touch with me on sunday, i could have redone everything and all would be fine. my ebay coupon expired on sunday and the cash back promo isn't going on for that item any longer, so i'm screwed for a paypal or hifiaudionline mistake. paypal is willing to pony up for the 10%, but that's nothing campared to the 30% on 2 items. trying to get hifi to send me the two paypal transaction numbers so i can proved to paypal that they obviously made a mistake. UGH!!!!

sounds like this seller, electronicexperts, doesnt check his paypal/ebay registered email. after i filed a claim thru paypal, he has sent me at least 50 emails trying to get me to close the dispute and post a positive feedback. i have left him a negative feedback.

also, this is the email which he regularly uses. he says he doesnt use the paypal/ebay registered email. how da heck is one supposed to know that before hand?

I wouldn't loose any more sleep over it, the delay in shipping sure sucks but any item should come in a brown unmarked box from an online sale. I sure wouldn't everyone seeing my 1K item being shipped across the country.

Just get it installed ASAP to make sure there isn't any problems with it.

BTW I got mine from Megafii on eBay, it arrived exactly as described in about 3 days.

I installed it a couple of days ago and I'm really liking it. I have to do the bypass next and then the mods begin. I'm still reading up but is there a good post about installing a back up camera? I did a search and couldn't find detailed pics/post. I want to do a clean job. BTW it's a Boyd camera. I hope everything turns out fine for you.

I bought mine from the same guys; asked for the additional $15, and it shipped right away. I just got it today (hence registering here before installing it) and it came in a storefront colored box.

I was lucky enough to use the 10% coupon as well, and got a great deal IMO. I frequent a lot of forums and haven't seen anything else negative out there for him.

BTW, this is going into a 2004 VW R32.
