ominous97rs
I've been reading up on the bypass over the past couple of days and understand what to do but am having trouble getting the f500 to boot in WinCE. I put the test files on my SD card but the unit does not go into test mode, only normal use mode. I do have the unit hard wired with the Pioneer 4ch amp for the f500, so I am wondering if that makes a difference in the boot up. Any ideas?
asimon
It seems you need to have the 2.0 updated unit to do it. I bought one in US so Im still waiting for update to be released. Anyone knows if the european update would work?
Arbies
The bypass works fine on the 500BT us version. Most data.zip files on this site were made for the INDash units and do not include the software bypass. Booting into test mode is outlined on this site, and works. Pioneer has not released an update for the 500BT as of yet still waiting.
dumpystig
There is an update for the Euro 500, I installed it on my 500 two weeks ago. You'll find the update at Pioneers UK site. But be sure to d/l the file for the 500 and NOT the 700/900 because they are totally different. I also installed Mavericksters Data zip hacks, and it works like a treat.
