69Mach1-409
As the title says. I installed the latest update disks yesterday and everything went fine. It looks up POI's, calcs routes fine, the radio controls are working fine, and system controls are all fine. Today I'm heading home on my lunch and pop out the East Nav disk and pop in a CD... the CD starts playing but all that is displaying on the screen is the backdrop, clock, and the track / time info along the bottom. It looks like I hit the 'Hide" button. When I touch the screen nothing happens. I can search the tracks and go into the other menus using the buttons on the side. When I goto another menu the touch screen comes up fine. I go back to the CD player and it's in 'hide' mode again... I've tried changing CD's and restarting the car.. nothing changes.. I didn't have much time to mess with it, just got back to work. I'm not sure if the DVD or iPod controls are working yet, as I do not have them with me to test. The radio controls work 100%. Any ideas? Thanks, ~j

69Mach1-409
I ended up resetting the unit and dissconnecting the battery for 10-15 minutes. It worked, but still not sure what caused it... it hasn't happened again, but she's had very limited use sense I don't drive the Stang as my DD anymore.
BuffaloSS
Did you make the DVD yourself, or is this an actual pioneer nav disc?
tetrischip
I also have this problem - from a self burned disc. Have not tried a system reset yet. Anyway of doing this without battery reset or unplugging the unit?
jkim1978
i have the same issue..... the update and everything was fine.. and couple of days after the update was fine.. but yesterday in the middle of the freeway my screen went blank.. but the music was playing fine.... but nothing on the touch screen but i was able to control everything with the side button. i got off the freeway and turned my engine off and then back on... it was back to normal after that but i'm afraid it might come back again. tetrischip
Found the solution in another thread for those still wondering, a soft reset using the reset button near the cd drive on the front, a biro pen will do. Fixed my problems.
jkim1978
got sick and tired of the blank screen and the lagging from the burnt cd..... i just went back to the old cd. i just didn't think the update was worth all the hassle.
