crispins
I have an Aug 07 Z2 After much hesitation I finally upgraded the Firmware and moved a wire to ground in the harness closest to the ANT and ----- BAM ---- It works. Now I have to still clear the warning message and the parking Brake wire is wrong message but after that it plays. Now is there a way to get rid of those 2 messages? Thanks everyone!! CaptainInsaneO
To get rid of the parking brake message, you need to ground the light-green wire as well (this is also beneficial in that in a few days, the system is going to lock you out again if you don't do it). We haven't figured out a way to get rid of the warning message yet.
crispins
I hve already grounded out the parking brake wire as well. I have done the 2 wire mod and the Z2 Firmware upgrade. I was wondering if I could get rid of the 2 warning/error messages with any programming. SOunds like I cannot and just have to clear out both messages everytime. garrettoomey
If you bypass is done correctly, you will not get the parking brake message. You should only be getting the single warning about video while driving blah blah blah.

The error I get says "....Detected that your parking brake is installed improperty..." How do I get rid of that message?
CaptainInsaneO
Check the actual "seat" of the wires at the connector on the back of your HU. Sometimes those come loose (has happened to me once).
