touchscreen voice button resets system

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I am having a very strange problem that no one can seem to figure out. I was hoping someone on here might have some suggestions.

I have a z1 that I switched the hard drive on (from 30gb z1 to 40gb z3) and everything worked fine until I pressed the voice button on the touchscreen. Whenever I press the button (in the av or map) it shuts down and restarts. everything else seems to be working great but i can not figure this one out. I don't have blue tooth installed and I have no idea how to fix this.

Today i went and replaced the antenna for a gps problem and I redid the bypass for the z3 software but the voice thing is still happening.

I am totally stummped. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks for the quick response guys.

I figured it might have something to do with the image but i wanted a second opinion. I would love to get this problem out of the way. Where can I find your image garrettoomey? Also from what I remember the hard drive is an ide inst it? Is it possible to update the image with a disk or am I going to have to pull the hdd?

I bought the new hard drive on ebay about 10 months ago. from a guy named micheal kania (cyberonic.com I think). Why do you ask?

That is about the same time as the corrupt image was release here. I was just curious if someone on ebay was selling drives with the images we release here.

You will have to pull the drive to reimage it. The image is about 9gb, and Hyperite had it on his FTP site for almost 10 months and just recently had to take it down. Based on a thread in another forum, it sounds like the torrent may be active again. Of course you could always send it to me for repair.
