wickedklown
hay guys. its been awhile since i last chatted on here. but i have some questions. I have a z1, and i got garretts z3 updated hdd. it works great. However, i just saw some posts about being able to load mp3s into the hdd via some kinda hack? is this possible with garrets unlocked drives? or not? next - i noticed now that i have about 200+ songs loaded, it seems abit slow when scrolling through the ROCK section of the HDD, is there any way to fix this? lastly, i really want to do the bypass, but im not sure if its possible with garrets unlocked drive. can someone please point out some topics, or links on how to accomplish some of these things? any information would be great. Thanks in advance Benjamin
CaptainInsaneO
I haven't seen anything about a hack to load MP3s on your hdd. If someone were to find that though they would pretty much have the holy grail of this unit. Your lag problems may be fixed by defragmenting the drive. And yes, garret's drives do allow and work with the bypass.
garrettoomey
There is no current hack that will allow you to copy MP3's directly to the hard drive (any Z hard drive). There is no 'fix' to speed up the scrolling of the library. Yes, you can do the 2 wire bypass on any Z1 (with update), Z2, or Z3 drive. http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass
NatesGr8
Is it possible to pull the hard drive out, load music onto it, then put it back in and listen? I have a huge library on my computer that i'd love to have on the hard drive in my z1. Thanks in advance, Nate
