Wrathernaut
All was good for a while with my install, but now the right channel went to about 1/4th the volume of the left, and there's a tick-tick-tick-tick that plays even if the iPod is paused. It stopped for a bit after I checked the wires, but today without changing a thing (not even unplugging the iPod) it started again. Any ideas? It doesn't come via the headphone if I plug them in while it's occurring while the connector is connected to the AVIC and playing.
meltingplastic
i have the saem issue... from what i've been told its pioneers crappy rca connectors... i'm gonna purchase an Apple rca/usb cable and check out my RCA harness from the unit. If u purchased it from an authorized retailer you should be able to get them to send u a new rca harness
hellhoundmusic
I actually replaced the factory RCA harness, it lasted 4 days, right channel dropping off again.....anyone had luck sending the unit back to Pioneer for repair since it is obviously the pins on the unit NOT the harness
hoonu
Guys.... this is a problem with the RCA Preouts going bad. I have confirmed this with Al-Eds as their local owner said he went round and round with this issue and once he replaced the deck... all was well. I suggest you call Pioneer and get them to issue a RMA. In fact... I'm on the hold waiting to speak to someone right now.
jahlinux
Is there any way to replace the RCA preouts? I got my F700BT radio shortly after they came out so I'm assuming Pioneer will not do anything about it. It renders the iPhone useless for playing music and podcast. randyb84
I fixed mine 4 weeks ago and haven't had any trouble maybe this will help. http://avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=24921 I just came back from a 16 hour round trip vacation and it didn't act up at all i would suggest anyone having this issue to try what i did before dealing with pioneer.
