dogtired75
i saw that the windows ce version installed is 5.0. theres version 6.0. i assume that a newer windows ce version would probably be faster in some respects. anyone messed with trying to install 6.0 on the head unit? and also if it cant be installed, what other kinda programs can i install to just use in windows ce? you would think at the very least it would have solitaire. and what can i do from windows ce to speed up the response time of the stock pioneer firmware? i turned off error reporting but i dont know what else to do. dedicating more program memory? thanks
DonMac21
Looks like some luck installing 3.0 updated with the WINce viewtopic.php?f=34&t=25487 Also here is a link to update WINce viewtopic.php?f=33&t=25424&p=172862&hilit=service+menu#p172862 Not sure how the updates will work. I think Pioneer is changing the map providers from IGO to Tele Atlas http://avic411.com/wiki/index.php/3.0_Firmware
BorisM
AVIC always used TeleAtlas maps. iGO is navigation software. You can't install a different version of WinCE unless you have the platform builder for this particular hardware, and I am sure Pioneer is not giving it away...
