Jekel
I've had my D1 for about a month and all of a sudden it comes on with a black and white screen with "Please eject the disc and insert the appropriate disc" I've tried switching discs, but no luck. I've tried resetting, but it would just come back to the same screen whether I had a disc in or not. It will not let me do anyhting else. Has anyone encountered this problem? jimmy303
Are you sure you are placing the nav disc in the correct slot, the lower drive?

Two_Cold
I had the same problem. It was a bad unit. I had to send it back.
cntrylvr79
I had the same problem with our display model. Tried every menu option in the secret menu. nothing worked. We wound up having to ship it back for repairs. a month later and we still haven't gotten it back.
laracer2000
Is the disc scratched? Mine was getting that message then I bought an authentic West V.1.0 on eBay and put it in and it worked. For some reason I had to slide the disc in and then press the reset button. Jekel
The disc doesn't look scratched, but the unit was exposed to a lot of dust. Is there a good way to clean the lens of the DVD reader?
jimmy303
Resist the temptation to use a cd lens cleaning disc at all costs!!!!!! The brushes on these things are notorious for knocking the lens out of whack, making for an expensive paperweight.
Jekel
If I shouldn't use the disc with cleaning brushes, then how do I clean the lense? I would rather not have to go through sending the unit back and waiting months to get it fixed.
