Nerds 2 You
I just bought an AVIC-F500BT, installed updates for firmware and bluetooth and am considering upgrading to 3.0 Currently GOOG-411 dials a long distance number and I read here that it cannot be changed. Can someone who has done the firmware update (legit or hack) tell me if GOOG-411 now dials the 1-800 number as the AVIC-U310BT that I had for a few days did?
diegoapavi
IT would be interesting to know how to modify that number, for example for other countries
Wrathernaut
I can see other countries this may be a problem, but is there a cellphone carrier in the US that charges less for a 1-800 number than anywhere else?
Nerds 2 You
OK, now I am a little ticked off. I bought a Z110BT on Friday and installed it, expecting that like the U310 it would dial the 1-800-GOOG-411 number and it dials the long distance number GRRR. I am in Canada and do not have a plan that includes long distance, and certainly not long distance to the US. I know I can add GOOG411 to my contacts but it is just more convenient to hit that big GOOG411 button on my screen. Oh well I guess I can use voice dial if it is in my contacts.... markhall186
Recently, I used the toll-free Justdial service. I called up 1800-500-0000, and my queries were answered within 60 seconds by a real person! They also connected me to the vendor I was looking for. I truly think Justdial is one step ahead of 1800GOOG services.
