rock crawler
I would put both on the roof in the back and run the wires in throught the third brake light. That is if it has a third brake light on the back of the roof. This is very easy to do and has a clean look.
apax
isn't the best location in the center of your dash (and it has to be leveled)...?
howarmat
Why does it have to be level??
apax
Why does it have to be level?? that what i heard, so it can be more accurate, i guess.....
howarmat
Mine is located on the kick panel of my car under the passenger side of the dash and I have not had any problems. I would think he can mount it under his dash with no problems. Â The sat radio on the other had has to have a path to the signal. Mounting it outside on the roof is recommended. jimmy303
Close to level is just fine. If you dont want them outside, you can put them under the dash, as long as you have about a 2.5" square of metal underneath each of them. It doesn't have to be thick, just well-secured and nothing but plastic or glass above them.
DataAve
My Nav. ant. is under the wipers (the grill just below) on an Ford F-150. No issues. But the better the cat radio ant. sees the sky, the better the reception. My Sirius ant. is out my third eye on the roof-can't even see it from the ground.
rock crawler
All of these will probably work fine I just recommended the roof for the best signal for both. And if you are running one to the roof why not run both at the same time. EASY!! Just my $.02.

9MMMAC
I put mine just above the windshield corner, and ran the little wire along/under the rubber trim. Then it goes along inbetween the fender and the door, and makes a break in the door wiring harness rubber boot thing, and in up/ under/ beside the dash. Plenty of cord that way!
