vitaminb6
I'm having the strangest problem with VR, which I described to Pioneer support in email (see below). They asked me to phone instead which I will do, but wondered if anyone here had any ideas... I'm having a very specific problem with the voice recognition in my Z110BT. It is installed in my 2005 Audi A4, where it replaced the previously installed F90BT. The problem is that it virtually never understands when I use the CALL command. The strange thing is, it easily understands all the other commands I've tried, including complex sequences such as when doing FIND ADDRESS. I've explored the microphone as the potential cause, and have tried the following: - using the already installed microphone from the F90BT - replacing the microphone with the one that came with the Z110BT installed in the same location - trying an alternate location for the microphone The behavior has remained identical despite the microphone changes - all commands work well except for CALL which almost never works. Is this a known issue? Please advise.
VBLUE42
Do you hit the OK button on the map screen before the BT connects?
vitaminb6
I would have to say that yes, I often hit the OK button before the BT connection is established. Is this somehow causing the problem?
VBLUE42
If the BT connects before you hit the OK button, BT calling will fail. It appears to be a bug with the system and has been reported to Pioneer. Do some testing on this to be sure and see if the problem goes away for you.

vitaminb6
Confirmed by testing - this was the problem. I'll ask Pioneer if/when a fix will be available. Thanks for your help!
vitaminb6
I asked Pioneer about a fix, using the email discussion I already had on the go with them on this issue. Unfortunately no response whatsoever...
tombonneau
I am having this *exact* same problem. Hopefully this is the solution. God bless the search function.
