johnyavic Posted November 20, 2006 Report Share Posted November 20, 2006 I have spent several hours reading this board, but just so I'm not confusing anything (I'm pretty much a beginner at this stuff).......if i purchase a Aug2006 or after unit, all I have to do is ground the 2 wires to disable the security features? I won't have the need to install any switches or anything? I ask because I'm most likely going to have a local car stereo installer (boomer mccloud) put it in, and they mentioned having to install a switch that would be located under the dash. This switch would disable the security features if i flickered it back and forth. Now maybe this was because the tech. was thinking about the pre Aug2006 units, but i figured you guys would know best. So again, with the aug2006 and newer units the only thing that needs to be done is the grounding of 2 wires to disable all security features? Thank you Quote Link to post Share on other sites
