crf1000
Sounds like a great thing!! I will do it once I get the MSN tuner and the 110 installed. Just about ready...
dallas5cowns
Do I need to have a specific GPS antenna to get this feature?
VBLUE42
Well, you have to have a unit that offers MSN direct service. What unit do you have?
dallas5cowns
I have the Z110BT. I see the information in the manual and it makes reference to the key code, but the MSN icon on my radio is greyed out.
VBLUE42
The Z requires the ND-MDT10 MSN tuner to use and activate the service. Once you connect the tuner the MSN icon will become available.

VBLUE42
Because the Z110BT has no MSN tuner. The ND-MDT10 is the tuner.
1genis
So does this mean MSN Direct is back in business? The last I heard they were giving back refunds and stuff. Is the $29.95 a special promotion until Jan 1 2012 or is MSN Direct going to stop completely after Jan 2012? Let me know, Im looking to get MSN Direct soon if MSN is in for the long run.... VBLUE42
MSN will still end after 01-2012. They are still refunding for lifetime subscriptions if you activate one now.
1genis
So basically all I have to do is buy the tuner (since I have the Z110BT) and pay a ONE TIME payment of $29.95 for membership until JAN of 2012? If so, thats a good pretty good deal. Im paying like $100 for a 2 year membership pretty much.
VBLUE42
Read it again. You will pay 30 dollars a year.
VBLUE42
Well maybe I should read it again. Yes, apparently you do get the service till the end of life for 30 bucks.
