va_connoisseur
I plan to remove the Yellow/Black cellular mute wire and use it for the bypass ground wire. For all of you that have done the bypass, what is the best (read: easiest) method of removing the wire from the harness? I'm trying to make this as smooth as possible. Thanks in advance. cntrylvr79
Though many people will probably say don't, I've always just given the wire a nice tug. Never ripped the connector off either.
kenchar
I used a small jewellers screw driver and gently pried the it out. If you look closely and push/pull on the wire, you can see the part that holds it into the plug. I released mine with the small jewelers screw driver and when I installed it made sure it locked in. Sorry my description is so vague but it has been a bit since I did it.
C6 Guy
Though many people will probably say don't, I've always just given the wire a nice tug. Never ripped the connector off either. Ditto. I fiddled with some very small screwdrivers and a paperclip for a while and gave up. It came out with a decent yank.
