what do u guys put on your sd card?

There's a thread on this General section that explains format u can play on SD.

 

thanks - I read that thread - sorry, should have mentioned that. Used a Divx converter - nothing would play. I don't think that thread mentioned if extensions should be .divx or .avi, and which converter was preferred

using ffmpegX on Mac OSX for encoding.

 

Possible CAPS:

1GB maximum file size

1000 kb/s maximum video bit rate

 

VIDEO

 

CODEC: XVID ffmpeg (*.AVI)

RESOLUTION: 640 X 360 for full screen or 640 X 272 for top/bottom bars

FRAME RATE: 23.97 or 29

BITRATE: 900 kb/s

 

AUDIO

 

CODEC: MPGA

BITRATE: 128 kb/s

SAMPLE RATE: 48kHz

 

music, porn, and the "my flash drive" backup, and thats all, mostly porn though

Anyone know of a method converting M4V itunes format with DRM to AVI ?

Been there also ; was kinda time wastin’ to try to convert protected m4v to avi from Itunes with a lot of converter apps or what you call’em until actually managed to find a good solution outta this.

 

Anyways, solved my problem with some Tunebite Converter app.

 

Used Tunebite to convert protected m4v to avi, t'was actually pretty easy.

 

Dunno, give it a try, should work for u.

Thanks - I'll give it a look. I don't really care about "protected" files, but just finding an extension and resolution that the overly fussy Pioneer likes would be good.
