ShortFuse
I'm not an electrical engineer, nor am I too well versed in Linux, but I'm pretty 90% of what you need to properly port the Z1x0BT to Android is in this 400page PDF http://www.4shared.com/get/ARDbpkFH/CSM-00364_RevC_SiRFprima_Devel.html
VBLUE42
By the time someone gets it figured out on this years model, Android will already be running on next years model. It is widely suspected that 2012 will see Android powered units from both Kenwood and Pioneer.

If I can find a kernel, the hardest part is done for us.

Even if the new units are Android, it would give new useful life to our older generation HU's if this pans out. Might be the 1st really useful hack. Unfortunately, would require wifi or wireless internet to really take advantage of this.

CaptainInsaneO
You could also use WiFi tethering, especially if your phone runs Android.

CodeNamedG
This is to allow the unit to operate the aha radio and other features it would with the apple iphone? I'm wondering because I'm trying to decide if I should get a iphone or the new android phone coming out....
