brady1870
Just installed my Appradio and the touchscreen doesn't seemed to be responding. When I click English on the opening screen in just sits there, then goes to the caution screen. I try to press ok and nothing happens and then it launches into a demo mode. Anyone had this problem? Could I have wired something wrong? I already ordered another because I think it might be the screen but thought I would ask.
MorningZ
My first one was indeed stuck in Demo mode as well, but what didn't work for me were the 3 actual buttons (volume up, down, and the home)... My replacement does not show this behavior
brady1870
Thanks, guess I'm stuck in wait mode until the new one arrives.
Stickboy46
Thanks, guess I'm stuck in wait mode until the new one arrives. Did you try pressing the reset under the microsd door ?
brady1870
Yes, twice and it does the same thing.
ibcr8iv
Demo Mode continues to play when the unit receives power for the first time. When you turn the key off, and then back on it goes away.

VBLUE42
With two people reporting the same defect on the same forum means we are likely going to see a high failure rate on these things.
brady1870
So I've been driving around for about a day with the radio installed and stuck in demo mode. This morning all of a sudden it works, it let me select English then click ok on the caution screen. Wierd!!!
Newman
that is the way it is supposed to work, what the OP posted about, and i relied that I ran into as well, was that this was *not* working like it should Perhaps the power isnt hooked up properly? I would imagine if the radio is losing all power when the key is turned off then the "demo mode" feature will reset. Make sure constant power is hooked up correctly. I just installed one into a portable demo box here (plugged into the wall) and demo mode never goes away no matter how many times i power it down. im just assuming/hoping its because its losing all power similar to a dead battery in a car. phillyphill39
does anyone know what it means when the unit displays an OS error is their a way to fix that? The reason i ask is because someone is selling 1 for $150 and im try to decide if its an easy fix.
