SolidForce
I have an email from Pioneer saying August. -SF
kelkin
Awesome, thou I'm confused. It's probably in front of my face but where do you see any reference to it working with a traffic tuner? I assume you mean that the x920 upgrade will allow it to work with the new traffic tuner for the x930 right? If so, where do you see that? Thanks, -Keith
jctek88
I wish I would've taken a screenshot because it seems they took it off that website. One of the main bullet points used to read "Compatibility with Pioneer ND-TMC10 traffic tuner."
JohnnyDepp
Interesting that Tom Tom (a Pioneer competitor in car GPS navigation) bought Tele Atlas (Pioneer's source for map data). Not that Pioneer does all that great a job, but should be interesting to see who Pioneer gets their map data from the in future.

One of the main bullet points used to read "Compatibility with Pioneer ND-TMC10 traffic tuner." Ahhh.. I wonder if they made a mistake and corrected it.. I would have thought that would be hardware dependent and couldn't be done, though it would be nice if it could be -Keith
kelkin
I decided to call Pioneer and ask them what the deal was, what they said is that they did in fact remove the reference to the traffic tuner since the x920bt isn't licensed to be used with it. The rep said "From what we were told it will probably work but you may run into problems". He also gave me something to try for my crappy voice response problem, if it works I'll post the steps. -Keith

barney stinson
i'm contemplating getting the tuner. i can't find any reviews. anyone care to do one? also, if it is worth it (i live in the san francisco bay area so i find traffic updates useful from my phone), is there a better time during the year to purchase it? kelkin
I bought the tuner for my x920BT from Amazon and received it within 2 days, I haven't bothered to put it in yet since I figured it wouldn't do anything for me until the firmware update is out. I'm assuming current x920bt firmware wouldn't know how to use that adapter for anything whatsoever right? -Keith
barney stinson
i just installed the traffic tuner a few hours ago. i'll see if it's worth keeping in a week or so.

barney stinson
930. I wish the antenna cables were longer since I have the actual tuner hidden inside my glovebox.
