I have noticed a few post that says the Ipod interface is faster and that there is a greater level of brightness/dimness. Or does the update just make all Z1s to July 06? ducatiboy Posted January 19, 2007 Report Share Posted January 19, 2007 From what I can tell there have been 2 updates to the Z1's. The bluetooth fix was updated around October. If you put the update cd into an October or newer unit it says it already has this update. The bypass change was done in July. So the bluetooth CD will update the bypass to the post July units and the bluetooth to the post October units. The change to the illimination/dimming for the AV screens is minor and the speed up of the ipod is minimal. If you don't use the bluetooth adapter and you have a pre July unit, I probably wouldn't mess with my unit. If you do use the bluetooth adapter, it's worth doing.
