4.
I just had my first AVIC Installe by the gauys in Circuit City in Rego Park and it was excellent. I used on a June 2006 unit the TR 7 and it has worked so far . Perfect all things work at all times . I have the bluetooth , the iPod adapt, XM with navtrack and Had an extra AV unit called the DLO home Dock for iPod hucked up to an AV input. The DLO lets you watch VIDEO MOVIES FROM YOUR iPOD at all times while offroading. The bebest part is that it is lightning fast to navigate as opposed to the in house (pioneer) adaptor for iPod. Excellent no witthis set up I can use
I'm having a problem with the installation of my rear view camera, I'm not sure electrically what is happening, but operationally when the car is shifted into reverse the camera will come on and there will be warning text that says the picture may be reversed, then the image on the z1 will automatically switch to whichever image was on the screen prior to the car going in reverse. After a couple of seconds the image will then switch back to the camera. This switching back and forth of the images will continue until the car is shifted out of reverse. In addition, when I c

NOrmally I'll program them to seek as well this way they caan be used to change tracks on the cd/sat radio as well.
in his defense, that's exactly what he told me too! but why wouldn't it do both? cycle through presets while in fm/am and seek when in cd/sat/dvd mode? cuz that's how my original steering wheel controls worked.
 7.
I got mine delivered last Friday. It's decent and I'm amazed at the controls I randomly get that aren't factory. For example I had to hook up a PAC SWI steering wheel interface to get "Mute" functionality. Then I get the SR1 remote which has a phone menu button that takes you directly to the phone menu (obviously) which allows you to look up numbers or digit dial with the Z1. Great menu to have direct access to since otherwise it's about 4 menu button presses to get there with the Z1 and no remote. It's also nice to have the voice command and cancel button on the

 9.
Hey all - Had the same buzzing sounds as well. Turns out the microphone was plugged into the wrong jack. Installed to correct jack and all is fixed, no buzz... :)
were you able to use the mic before? i am having the buzzing, but all the while the mic works fine - with a little echo maybe. so make point is, if it were plugged into the wrong jack - the mic wouldn't work at all.
 10.
I have it installed in an 06 STi, I just turned the beep off. You can also turn the beep louder the static isnt as noticable.
how do you turn off the beep?
 11.
MacFly, regardless of the "1", murzik thinks since the 8800 is a GSM phone, you might need to put a plus mark ("+") in front of the numbers in the phone book. I know I had trouble with Tmobile in respect to that.
thanks for pointing that out. i must've had a brain fart or sometihng, i totally missed it!
 12.
See if number on the screen exactly matches number in Z1 phonebook. If this is GSM number you may need to add + before 1.
matches identically. and as stated above, i've tried it with and without a "1". **EDIT** i apologize, i completely missed the "adding + before 1". i will try that and let you know how it goes.
 13.
number on the screen or no name?
number only, no name.
 14. i have a nokia 8800 and i can not get the caller id to work with the Z1! i've done the following: * i initially had not numbers in the Z1's phonebook, no caller id * i've manually inputed the number with and without the "1" * i made sure the number inputed in the Z1 matches what i have on my phone's phonebook exactly. any thoughts? ideas? thanks in advance!
 15.
Bluetooth "autotry" as in ty and connect to the last connected bluetooth phone... both myself and the wife have bluetooth and I have to manually connect rather than it being automatic (probably because it's seeing both phones from sartup)... BOTH phones are activated into the Z1 Unfortunately, I drive the car more than she does... it's a pain at times
how did you activate/pair BOTH phones with the Z1? if i'm not mistaken, it only pairs to one phone at a time.
