timhunold Posted November 9, 2011 Report Share Posted November 9, 2011 So, I bit the bullet and ordered the map upgrades etc, and followed the instructions to the letter and the tuner is crashing every 2-5 seconds "system restart due to tuner error, contact your service provider" or to that effect. When the 'tuner' part came up, it was easy to assume it is the fm/am or even the xm, but the msn never made sense. topic answered Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Joshua Bishop Posted November 9, 2011 Report Share Posted November 9, 2011 You could try to go into the test mod and force it to do a reinstall, maybe that will fix your issue. To get into the test mode you hold mode and hit volume up, volume down, volume up, volume down and so on. I am attaching a video. Unplug your old MSN Traffic Tuner. This has been covered before. The only traffic tuner supported is the new RDS one that comes w/Z130 and costs $80-100. And yes.
