gapxguy
I have an avic-n2 for about 6 months and the address searching really ticks me off. For example, if I punch in 1234 Rose, it would give a list of: W. Rose Dr. S. Rose St. Rose Cir. N Rose Ave. W Rose Blvd. Scrolls down 5 pages, etc... Then if that wasn't enough, it then lists all the cities of "Rose st." and allows to to scroll down another few pages. Now I also have a Garmin portable GPS that's the size of my palm and only costed a 1/4 of the Pioneer N2, yet has the most user friendly interface that never once failed me. All I need to know is the house number, street name (NO n/w/s/e, ave/st./cir/etc.), and the city name and bamm it takes me to point B. Is there a way to narrow down the searches? I find it ridiculous that I have a $2k system and sitting on the dash, still resort to my portable Garmin GPS.
Rodge
If you are so unhappy with the performance of the unit and the price you paid for it why don't you just sell, and use your handheld?
gapxguy
Because I want something in-dash and my Garmin is used for my other vehicles. So there's no solution to this problem?
aznsmartass24
yeah same here. Navigation for the Z1 sucks too. I completely agree with your comment about garmin being better. Although I have map updates to look forward to in Z2. Maybe you should try the N3 and see if its any better, coocho.
bobmun
can you input the city first like the z1?
cntrylvr79
Yes you can
whtcrxghst
And you can also put a space after rose and put in the next letter of the address (D if you are looking for Rose Drive, C for circle, Etc.)
cntrylvr79
Yeah it's a nav system that requires you to do some light thinking. Don't want to think, then get a garmin.
kaotek
comparing the price of an indash with dvd, mp3, cd and nav system pack in one to the price of portable nav (garmin) is completely different.
