Dwimble Posted June 28, 2012 Report Share Posted June 28, 2012 I installed the x910 a couple of years ago with an XM tuner and did the wiring bypass. Can anyone confirm for me that the wiring is the same on the x940? If I upgrade could I just unplug the one unit and plug in the other without having to do any wiring harness changes? Now that MSN Direct is defunct it irritates me not having the traffic features. Of course I understand that the optional traffic tuner is required on the 940. Also, I recall having to do some sort of software tweak when I installed the 910, but it has been a long time and I don't remember what it was. Is something like that requried for the 940 as well?
