lithunitus
HI there, I've been sneaking around this forum ever since I purchased my appradio2, mainly seeking a proper fix for the parking brake issue. So once I figured out that it just needed a 12v switch connected to it, I figured that was the best route for me. I know the stickie on this main thread is using a relay, but I have no experience with relays, and this gave me a reason to purchase and use a FUNK switch. FYI The Funk switch is a from german police cars or taxis that switch switch between work and leisure radios. So because I own a german car, this switch is available. So it's pretty basic, the switch has five wires. input, output, ground, status light, and the aux light. Input is connected to a 12v source from the radio. the status light and output are connected and then connected to the parking brake wire from the radio. The aux light for the word FUNK was tapped from the fog light switch next to it. http://youtu.be/GFSEttOZCP0 I'd be happy to be more specific if people have questions. I just thought I'd show my method, as the switch method didn't seem to be covered.
MattyBoBatty
Thats pretty cool. Microbypass has a interface to do this automatically now. I do like the james bond style though.
InstallerGuy1
Microbypass has a interface to do this automatically now. I like to use the Microbypass website for all the Pioneer Radios.
