=JSG=
Has anyone tried AppRadio 2 (SPH-DA100) with Sony Xperia ion LTE with HDMI. I am ruinning 4.0.4 ICS and the phone is ROOTED. Thanks
texbuck
Since both the arc S and neo V are compatible, I see no reason that it shouldn't be. Go to a best buy store and hook one up. I've heard of several people doing this just to double check before they lay down the big bucks for the radio.
=JSG=
Excellent, I already bought this unit (SPH-DA100) for $329 LOL, brand new open box. Another question: Can I use the rear USB to simply plug in a pen drive to listen to music? I only see iPod on the main screen. I know the firmware is updated via this method. 400ixl
No, it does not support USB pen drives other than as the source for updates.
=JSG=
Thank you for the help, It would have been nice to have USB audio/video support. Question: Will DashCommand detect OBD II bluetooth device? So there is no need to buy this optional OBD II cable from Palmer Performance or Pioneer.
400ixl
If you have an ODBII bluetooth dongle such as one of the ELM327 devices then you can pair the phone to both the AppRadio and the dongle. If you get the ARLiberator application (paid app but worth it) you are not restricted to the apps Pioneer allow and can use applications such as Torque which is cheaper (free version and paid version) than DashCommand. =JSG=
Thanks 400ixl. I just powered on the deck and plugged in the HDMI into my rooted Xperia ION and BOOM!! it works. AppLiberator also works. Only issue I found is that the touch screen does not work when in mirror mode, any ideas?
texbuck
What mode is it in when ARLiberator works? My phone has to be in mirror mode.
=JSG=
I'm not sure what you mean about "mirror mode" but I had the phone connected via HDMI
400ixl
Yep, straight HDMI output. Appradio is not a Mirrorlink device.
=JSG=
Update! Everything works now 100%. All I had to do was uninstall Pioneer AppRadio app and do the calibration on AppLiberator
