bettlesr
Recently I bought a used z110 that had been upgraded to a z120. I upgraded it to a z140. For a while it seemed to work fine. No problems. The last few days when I start the car, It goes through the "Pioneer" splash screen and then goes black. There is no sound and the only button the works is the button to open the front. The buttons are light. It seems to happen when the car is very cold. Sometimes, it will work fine later in the day, and everything works as it should. Anybody have any clues? Thanks Dick
bettlesr
Anyone know how to get this z110/140 to work when it's cold out? Thanks
dgmorr
It looks like I have the same issue as you with my X940BT.
RonS
Sounds like a cold solder joint on a circuit board somewhere. Also, it's possible there is some marginal external wiring (ground, or either red or yellow '+' wires) or a faulty fuse that opens when the metal contracts due to cold. If many things (like pre-set stations and HU settings) "reset" after the outage, that would point to the yellow (constant +12VDC) connection/fuse.
MPTonyT
Just had a similar issue but i never got the Pioneer screen. Turns out it was my back lights for the screen.
