Hellothere!
First of all THANK YOU I was not about to pay pioneer 80$ plus uninstallation/reinstallation fees for a 5 min fix not to mention shipping it all the way to california. I would like to add to this that when I did txtdump it didnt show me my password only my password hint ughh but after a little searching around i did find that it is also accessible in the binary dump the first line all the way to the right should be the password you set up ( minus all the . . .) in case that helps anyone else! Thank you man. Your post saved my life. I had to see it as binary as well, it was not showing up as txtdump either with me. Thanks!

Jlundfelt
 I have a screenshot from my deck that my friend set the password / hint on when they were using my car a few years ago, but I can't decipher what the actual password is. I called them and they of course don't remember setting a password, but the hint is what they usually use as a password. Have tried everything, and my understanding is that the password needs to be 5-15 characters. Here is a screenshot  https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3AIBDFs8qAfc2Z1ZnJDOXZjU1U  My car is sitting at the car stereo shop, waiting for the password to be input, or the deck to be ripped out and sent to Pioneer.  TIA! That will clear the password completely.

YUMYUM27YUMYUM2754   Hope this helps  This post was a flipping life saver!! Thanks to everybody that contributed on it!!  Much appreciated.
Jlundfelt
FYI Â The password ended up being '2754 '. apparently when my friend set the password they tried to use their typical 4 digit pin like password, but w/ the 5 character minimum requirement, they just entered a trailing space. Awesome. Felt so stupid trying every combo of that password / hint last week, but that. Last Monday before the shop was going to pull the deck and ship to Pioneer, they were able to try that password and unlock. I gave them the link and instructions from this forum and the microSD card I put the testmode file on for their patience. It would be nice if they looked to see if there was a password before disconnecting the battery, but that being said after reading the manual on where to set the password, with the three invisible button sequence, I am unable to get into the password maintenance page. Anyways, crisis averted, I would still be waiting for Pioneer to ship the AVIC-X850BH deck back. Â Thanks for everyone's help! -Jon
