harabo
Thanks for this post! I have browsed thru the whole post but didn`t find any answer. I have a unit with a map from USA, and i drive in Norway/europe. The 2012 update (wich i didn`t get to work) i saw someone who used a VARINFO from a US update, do anyone here have that? I actually can update my bluetooth, but the setup isn`t starting when i put in the SD card. I run a x940bt -Thanks
Travolta
Please see Pionara's and Frisk's answer here and do exact what they told to do, or if you can find the USA VERSINFO.DAT and CARDINFO.cif for your Device and for the 2013 maps then you can replace them and start the update. Regards Thanks, i can try that now. But i have read somewhere that this will update the map, but it will be a problem searching for adresses? Anyway, its better then looking on a stuck USA map. If anyone have the VERSINFO and CARDINFO for US update, i would love you forever
Travolta
Hi all,I have Avic-F9220BT with firmware 2.00300 and I want to upgrade to version 5; like to know if this guide works fine for my system? Sure, the AVIC F9220BT is the same as F920BT but with a different Bazel for Ford: • Focus • Galaxy • S-max • Mondeo • Tourneo Connect (2010) • Transit Connect (2010) Try to update like the F920BT Regards
Nieles
i'm really sorry i;ve scouted the forum as much as i can, but i just cannot find how to to (propperly) back-up my system (F940BT) before i go and try to install the new maps! Also do i need the edited cardinfo.cif or not?
Travolta
@Nieles download the TESTMODE for your device and put to the root of your SD-CARD instert SD to your AVIC, Pioneer Service Mode will appear, move down and enter FILE MAINTENANCE, go to USER, select COPY on the menu, move up, and go to SD, select PASTE on the menu, once it finish - BACKUP IS DONE. now hold EJECT button for 5s to get to sd card, take it and connect to pc, copy USER directory somewhere safe on your computer and delete it from SD. Hope this will help you to backup your files. For the F40BT no need to replace the CARDINFO.CIF but you still need the VERINFO.DAT Regards

deep.blue
