Dan1701z
I just recieved my D3 today and I would like to get the pioneer and vehicle wiring harnesses hooked together. I am just wondering what most people prefer. I've done both and have had luck with both. I am just a little nervous that if I crimp them I might have a problem with them maybe coming loose after awhile. Thanks Dan
coocho
I solder mine and put some heatshrink around it. Feels a little safer than crimping, though soldering was a pain in the butt.
Dan1701z
cool thanks thats kinda how i feel. I'm gonna give it a try. Dan
Two_Cold
Don't crimp. Solder only. Then heat shrink. If you must use electrical tape, get a tube of silicon and put a tiny bit over the tape to keep it from falling off.
cntrylvr79
Or use 3m super 33+ or super 88. I've NEVER had that stuff come off.

precisionmobile
Another Vote for Solder and heatshrink x100 I seen so many crimps come off before and fry radio's and blow fuses. I rather twist lock then to use crimps and caps.
