rsxnav
Just got my D3 installed today! First in the city possibly, don't care anyway... This is my first nav/touch screen unit and aftermarket stereo unit. Totally amazed, thanks to all of the reviews/opinions on here that made this purchase easier and more confident!! Curious if anybody has ever figured out a way to add music visualizations to this unit or any AVIC units... I searched the topic and the last question posted was summer of '06. Since we can easily add custom backgrounds, think it's possible to add visualizations when the music details are hidden to a blank background? That would kick azz! Thanks for any input. rsxnav
so with all the mods you guys come up with....we can't figure out a way to put a visualization mod on this device?? there's gotta be a way...
coocho
Well, technically, we never actually come up with any mods. The only reason we have a bypass is because pioneer implemented the bypass but never tells anyone because of legal reasons. So we have to find out ourselves.

rsxnav
alright, then I'm up for the challenge. But, what will that require? Understanding and knowledge of the OS? Where would I get that info? And then, how would I reload the OS say I screw something up?

whitesmoke
you can record winamp vis with a program called fraps and then burn video dvds with the vis over the music you want. its a long process but it works.
